ECONOMIC AND GEOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS AND PROBLEMS OF THE SETTLEMENT AGGLOMERATION ALONG THE VALLEY OF TSIBRITSA RIVER

Summary

The unifying factors for the formation and development of the settlement agglomeration of `Tsibritsa’ so far are: the agriculture, the transport network, the common use of the Tsibritsa river, the soil resources, etc.

69,0% of the buildings in the agglomeration are situated alongside the river and the road from D. Tserovene to D. Tsiber. The advantage of such a territorial organization is that on the east and on the west side of this lineal settlement lies the cultivated land which is still the main means of production. The economic and geographic analysis had revealed some of the existing problems of the settlement: the need to prevent the migration of the local population, the most effective use of the land and its resources, as well as the buildings and other facilities of the settlement in view of its prospects for social- economic development, and then need of further industrialization.
