Summary

General changes took place in the structure of agriculture in the period of the People’s government. The number of the rural population constant decreased. In 1975 it reached 42%. At the same time the number of the resettlements decreased too. Their number in 1946 was 5927 and in 1975 decreases with 769. The number of the small settlements with a population up to 500 inhabitants increased on the account of the bigger ones. The decrease of the rural population and the number of rural settlements turned to be in a close connects with the comparatively high rate of the industrialization, carried out in the town and the quick mechanization of agriculture. The intensive migrational processes of the rural population to the towns roused many problems.
